Dear Producers, and Buyers of ethnic and specialty produce, we have developed this Web page to help you make an informed decision regarding producing, buying, and selling specialty and ethnic vegetables.

The objectives of this research project “Maryland specialty cropseggplant initiative” were to: 

  1. Test the potential for growing specialty crops under diverse environments in Maryland.

  2. Evaluate their market potential in the state.

  3. Provide valuable production and marketing guidelines to producers, retailers, wholesalers, and agricultural professionals.
